Harvey Aylmer - Founder

At the heart of Aylmers Circus is Harvey Aylmer, a theatrical producer and writer from Gloucestershire. As a child, he dreamed of running his own circus - and at age 10, he transformed his garden into one, raising money for Cancer Research. Harvey and his friends gathered neighbours and practiced cartwheels together for the cause. After his GCSEs, he left school and ran away with the circus, joining Giffords Circus, where he completed apprenticeships in business administration and events management while working alongside award-winning director Cal McCrystal.

In 2022, Harvey began studying Theatre Production at Bath Spa University, graduating in 2025. His passion for producing led him to collaborate with fellow creatives, and in 2023, he founded Aylmers Circus and wrote and produced his debut musical, The Ringmaster, which sold out performances in Bath and Stroud.

He has also worked with Cirque du Soleil at the Royal Albert Hall, deepening his understanding of world-class circus.

Now focused on the future of Aylmers Circus, Harvey is driven by a vision to inspire future dreamers and fuse musical theatre with circus. His childhood ambitions continue to shape the imaginative stories he brings to life.
